My emphasis on this piece is the lowest circle. I has the most light on it and the flash gradients into the top half to black. The lines that hold the circles move your eyes from the bottom to the top to the main mirror. The different colors and sizes of the individual circles gives this photograph variety. The highlights from the light brings emphasis to the circles as they lead upwards causing a contrast to the shadows.
My emphasis in this piece is the corner of the wooden cupboard. The bottom half is blurred and the edge is too, but the front half is in focus. This causes your eyes to travel there first, then follow the boarder of the door. The lines lead upwards and to the bottom right. There is shading on the left that hints there is something inside the cupboard. My variety is the different tones of brown seen throughout the picture.
This picture's emphasis are the parallel lines going horizontally across the page. It creates movement from each side and leads the viewers eyes to this dark shape that overlaps the lights. The edges on the fan from the reflection of the lights causes highlights that bring out the fan. Although dark, this picture has plenty of variety. The different variants of neutral tones gives this picture its difference.
